Power Washing/Pressure Cleaning Vinyl Siding Professionally - Indiana Pressure Wash Company

Before pressure washers were invented and available to the general public, cleaning the exterior of a house was very labor intensive. The walls of the home had to be scrubbed from ladders that created unsafe conditions for individuals not experienced in the construction industry & physically fit to work in outdoor conditions.

Well fortunately for us, times have changed and exterior house cleaning is actually pretty simple if you have the right pressure washing equipment and know-how to do the job right. Other factors that make things easier is the invention of vinyl siding which is much easier to clean than brick, block, wood and stucco houses.

So let's talk about cleaning vinyl siding since it is so popular on today's homes. The first step to doing a top quality power washing job is to use the right pressure washer and the right cleaners for vinyl siding. Remember to only use solvents that are approved for pressure washer use.

Next, apply the cleaner under low pressure with smooth, overlapping strokes. To prevent streaking, start from the bottom and work your way up. Pressure washing is a lot like painting. If you get "hose happy" and randomly spray everything, you're bound to miss a spot. Don't try to do too big of an area at once and let the cleaner sit long enough to do its' job.

Now rinse away the cleaner but don't get to close. Pressure washers work under high pressure and you wouldn't want to damage anything. Keep the tip of the wand a couple of feet from the wall & gradually move closer only if needed, but with caution.

And lastly, be careful not to spray water directly at the eaves, gable vents and especially light fixtures and outlets. You should also be careful around windows and doors. High pressure can knock out or bust old or loose window panes. Make sure to rinse the cleaners thoroughly and never point the wand at yourself or anyone else.

If this seems too difficult, it may be in your best interest to contact an Indianapolis power washing contractor who specializes in exterior house washing.
